About Us
Our parents were born and raised in Honduras and we spent many childhood summers visiting family and friends. These trips exposed us to the great and diverse beauty of the country as well as the vast poverty that grips Central America. So many communities with so few basic necessities. Now, as a parent and an aunt to young kids, we've noticed the startling number of jackets hanging on lost & found racks at our local elementary school. We'd had conversations about how the world had a fast-fashion problem, but seeing the scale of waste in person when we had met and knew of children who would be grateful for this basic garment was very motivating. With school administration support, we collect unclaimed jackets from lost & found, launder them and ship them to trusted connections in Honduras who distribute them to children in need in the regions of Tegucigalpa, Intibucá and Montaña de la Flor.
